What Does 'Beauty' Really Mean?

beautiful

people say it means

your personality

yourself

but really, 

in out world,

‘beauty’ is only looks

can the skirts get any shorter,

or the shirts get any tighter?

If the makeup got any heavier

I’d mistake them for porcelain dolls

Why do we care

why do looks rule our world? 

There Is a Time and Place That is Not Now

There is a time

where people can all live in harmony

where skin tone,

gender, 

or sexual orientation 

doesn’t make you any lesser. 

There is a place

where we are all safe

safe from others

safe from people who think they're better.

That is not now. 

That is not here. 

We need to change this

stand united

holding hands

we can raise above this war

where originality can be embraced.
