Alone

The dark
lurking by the sides
hiding
take me by surprise
Far away
alone
by myself
no judging eyes
or ears of spies
or
family and friends.

Is alone a good thing?
Not all the time.
Is away a good thing?
Hiding from the light

Craft Fair

I'm so exited!!!
My mom is getting me a table at a craft fair to raise money for the 8th grade DC trip in the spring. Not only will it be my first table, but I've made so many new things recently. And I really love sewing, it's so relaxing.
First Stop: Vermont Craft Fair
Next Stop: PARIS RUNWAYS
Okay, maybe not that extreme. Maybe more like, New York Craft Fairs. But still....
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
:-)

Names

Names are a noun
defining a person.
So are they instead adjectives?
One's forced upon people,
mandatory, expected.
No choices involved,
not influenced by a personality
something that makes you the same.
But a name is more,
its a link to your past,
to the past.
Beyond the realm of which you've lived in.
Names are nouns,
and adjectives,
and historic facts.
Names are things that define you before you're born,
and that is pretty special.

Pain

why do people bully?
Is elation what they feel?
Why do people feel the need
to make all 'peasants' kneel?

Are they high on the taste
of pain and loss of hope?
Is this their equivalent
of a harmful, deadly dope?
Do they even realize they're the cause
of all this ghastly debris?
Why do people bully?
It's not an answer that I need.

The times she has experience
in this particular venue,
what scares her most is that she knows
there are no feelings on the menu.
She never felt a thing
as she thrashed them to and fro
with her harmful words she shook them
held a blade against their throat.
