Pain

This is the second version of my original poem "Pain". This one focuses far more on the last stanza about a girl who was afraid of feeling which caused her to hurt others.

She never felt a thing
as she thrashed them to and fro.
With her harmful words she shook them,
held her blade against their throat.

Pain is hard,
but it's good to know
that sooner or later
it ought to go.

Physical pain is probably
what came to mind at first.
But as she recalls,
the hardest pain
come from words conversed.
